This project is a fully custom interactive map interface designed for LiveWay, a large event driven web application that needed fast, real time, location based features. I created the front end map components, custom pins, hover states, event modals, and the overall user flow. The map includes dynamic data loading, category styling, seasonal pin variations, and smooth interactive behaviors that adjust to the user’s location and zoom level.
The LiveWay map was built to deliver a clean, modern visual experience while handling a large amount of dynamic data. I designed custom iconography, adaptive pin states, and a responsive layout that works across desktop and mobile. Each pin opens a structured modal with event details, actions, and navigation shortcuts. The modals are optimized for speed, clarity, and fluid transitions.
I engineered the map layer to support category based styling, seasonal pin themes, user location detection, and filtered results that update instantly. The system loads only the events that fall within the user’s active viewport and refreshes pins without reloading the page. This improves performance and allows users to explore the map smoothly.
This project required strong UI design, interaction design, and front end engineering. It also involved API integration, data shaping, and optimization work to keep the experience responsive even with high event density.
